My studio sits beside a salt marsh, and it definitely influences my artwork. In this monotype, I have attempted to abstract the landscape, with a view across the salt marsh to the hill beyond.
The day I created this was grey, wet and windy. The beautiful white winter landscape had been washed away by rain…gray green landscape, water, dark trees and scrub at the shore, rugged and unforgiving.
