“The more I go inside, the more there is to see.”

-George Harrison

My mentors in art have taught me to look inside. To be my true authentic self, with no apologies, no excuses, and no self criticism. To understand what inspires me, and what my true desires are. To get to know me a little better. Doing this, they say, is the only way that I will express my “style” – my own unique spin on the world, given to you in visual form.

These explorations have led me to change significantly in the last few years, for the better I hope. And I know there’s so much more inside – I just need to have the time to find it.

Key Features of “There’s More to See Inside”:

Layered Textures: The rich, tactile surface of this striped abstract painting adds depth, evoking a sense of hidden layers and encouraging closer inspection—like peeling back the layers of one’s inner self.

Vertical Elements: The soft, vertical lines in muted pinks act like windows or barriers, creating a sense of structure and suggesting themes of introspection and discovery.

Earthy Colour Palette: Deep greens and warm ochres dominate the composition, grounding the piece in natural, calming tones. These are complemented by hints of red and white, adding contrast and subtle energy.

Dynamic Contrasts: The interplay between the organic, almost weathered textures and the geometric lines creates visual tension, symbolizing the complexity beneath the surface.

Subtle Movement: Fine horizontal streaks and layered marks add a sense of quiet dynamism, guiding the viewer’s eye and suggesting that more lies beneath the visible.

Reflective Theme: Reinforced by the quote, “The more I go inside, the more there is to see,” the composition invites personal reflection, encouraging viewers to explore their own inner worlds.

“There’s More to See Inside” invites you on a journey beneath the surface. The vertical elements in muted pinks and warm earthy greens seem like windows or barriers, gently hinting that what lies beyond is worth exploring. Textures overlap like layers of thought, each one whispering a story waiting to be uncovered.

The colours of this striped abstract painting—deep greens, warm ochres, and soft blush tones—evoke a sense of tranquillity and introspection, like walking through a forest where every shadow reveals a new mystery. Subtle hints of red and white lines draw your eye, suggesting pathways or hidden meanings within.
