Love Affair
I’m having a magenta day. Not just red, but magenta!

I’ve been fascinated with the colour magenta for some time now. I veer away from it, and then find myself drawn back. Orange tempts, and pure red, and that elusively beautiful teal, but magenta … oh, it’s like an illicit affair. You know you shouldn’t, but somehow you just keep going back …
So, I decided to do a series of 4 paintings about my “affair” with magenta. Perhaps this will work it out of my system.
Love affair is the first of those 4 paintings, and the only one which is not mixed media – it is entirely painted with acrylic paint.
Each of the paintings in the series is approximately 16×16 inches on stretched canvas. I recommend framing in a tray frame (aka canvas floater) for optimal presentation, however if you choose “No frame” your painting will be wired and ready to hang when you receive it.
