Hidden desires
I have a deeply hidden and inarticulate desire for something beyond the daily life.

Perhaps this is the reason for the art – for artists – we want to seek something beyond the daily life. To live – and we choose to express that with colour.
I’ve been fascinated with the colour magenta for some time now. I veer away from it, and then find myself drawn back. Orange teases, and pure red, and that elusively beautiful teal, but magenta … oh, it’s like an illicit affair. I know I shouldn’t keep going back, but somehow I can’t stop myself
Hidden desires is the second of 4 paintings in my “Love affair” series – all about my love of magenta. Each of these paintings is approximately 16×16 inches on stretched canvas. I recommend framing in a tray frame (aka canvas floater) for optimal presentation, however if you choose “No frame” your painting will be wired and ready to hang when you receive it.
